Is it physically impossible for Democrats to tell the damned truth?!? It must be, because they all seem so totally incapable of it. I am so sick of Democrats lying through their teeth and then the media reporting their lies as fact. The latest is on the tax cut bill. Every single network last night was bemoaning how people making minimum wage won’t be getting the larger child tax credit. That’s true. They won’t. Because they have no tax liability!! It is not a “credit” if you get more money back than you actually paid. It’s called income redistribution. It’s taking money from those who actually earned it and had it taken from them by the government and giving it to those who didn’t earn it. That’s all it is. It’s government-sanctioned plunder. But can these worthless Democrats be honest about this? Nooooo, they can’t! They are going to use this to paint the President, and Republicans in general, as evil, wicked child-hating meanies. The tax credit is going to those families who earn enough money that they actually have a tax liability. But the Democrats will play this for all it’s worth and the press will gleefully play along. It’s just disgusting.
