If this post is dated before 2011, I almost certainly do not agree with its contents any more. I had a profound philosophical shift that began in early 2010, which ultimately left me somewhere left of center. Please disregard all right-wing, nutjob ramblings you may find here.
The left is always telling us how amazingly compassionate and tolerant they are, and how mean and intolerant those of us on the right are. They usually tell us that when we try to save babies from being murdered or when we try to stop people coming into this country illegally. Anyway, here’s a story about a worthless ass-clown college professor who really shows his true stripes. Not only should this guy be fired (which he won’t be) but he should probably be beaten by an angry mob (which also won’t happen).
Joey, you just called for the professor to be beaten by a mob. How tolerant is that?
BTW, did you read his email as well as the mischaracterization of it? He didn’t try to intimidate her with anything stronger than exposing her politics. Why should that intimidate her?
Here is the letter.
Dear Rebecca:
I am asking my students to boycott your event. I am also going to ask others to boycott it. Your literature and signs in the entrance lobby look like fascist propaganda and is extremely offensive. Your main poster “Communism killed 100,000,000″ is not only untrue, but ignores the fact that CAPITALISM has killed many more and the evidence for that can be seen in the daily news papers. The U.S. government can fly to dominate the people of Iraq in 12 hours, yet it took them five days to assist the people devastated by huricane Katrina. Racism and profits were key to their priorities. Exxon, by the way, made $9 Billion in profits this last quarter–their highest proft margin ever. Thanks to the students of WCCC and other poor and working class people who are recruited to fight and die for EXXON and other corporations who earning megaprofits from their imperialist plunders. If you want to count the number of deaths based on political systems, you can begin with the more than a million children who have died in Iraq from U.S.-imposed sanctions and war. Or the million African American people who died from lack of access to healthcare in the US over the last 10 years.
I will continue to expose your right-wing, anti-people politics until groups like your won’t dare show their face on a college campus. Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors and fight for just causes and for people’s needs–such freedom fighters can be counted throughout American history and they certainly will be counted again.

His elastic numbers, never the same two days running, were much derided at the time; he never found even a single genuine Communist in the government; none of those he named recklessly during his hour on the stage was ever proved to have been a spy; and none of them appear in the VENONA traffic or the documents published by Weinstein and others. A rough-and-tumble demagogue of a certain raffish charm, McCarthy never really understood the chapter and verse of Communist spying, much less the subtler play of left-right ideological struggles, which tempted many liberals of the time to deny overheated right-wing charges of subversion with counterclaims that the “Red Menace” was all being trumped up by the FBI.

Jon, I never claimed to be tolerant. Liberals are always demanding tolerance and “respect” for “diversity” and all that sort of shit. Do you actually think that letter isn’t threatening? I guarantee you that if a conservative professor (yeah, right) had uttered words like that about some lesbian support group or some other left wing cause, the nightly news would be screaming about intimidation. The left only wants to hear those people who share identical views as them. All this talk of “diversity” is BS.
McCarthy made mistakes and his means weren’t always the best, but there were communists infesting our government and he did ferret them out. Alger Hiss comes to mind.
