Even Fox News Doesn’t See the Problem

Go here, scroll down to the story entitled “I Also Have a Bridge to Sell You” and read it. Then come back here. I’ll wait…

OK. Did you catch the problem with that story? Here’s the relevant sentence

Forlemu, an illegal immigrant from Africa, had no prior felony convictions and was released on personal recognizance.

This man was in our country illegally! For this ass-hat judge to release this scumbag on his own bloody recognizance is a joke! The sentence should have read like this

Forlemu, an illegal alien from Africa who had no prior record since violating our laws to come into this country, was promptly turned over to Immigration Services and deported back to whatever 3rd World paradise he came from.

If you enter this country illegally, you are a criminal. Criminals need to be dealt with.

Ted Kennedy is a Fathead

If you’ve seen any of the laughable “hearings” by the Senate Judiciary committee on whether to recommend John Roberts to be CJ of the SCOTUS, you’ll love this. I would have called Kennedy an “ass-clown” or an “ass-hat” or a “drunken sot” instead of “fathead,” but in the “Leave it to Beaver” world, they didn’t have words like that.

Bill Clinton is an Ass-Clown

I heard a clip of that jackass Bill Clinton on one of the talking head shows this morning, once again spouting the liberal line that Bush’s tax cuts are responsible for the devastation in New Orleans. I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it: to a liberal there is no such thing as a problem that can’t be solved by raising taxes. Especially raising taxes on those eeeeeeeeeeeeeevil “rich” people. History and facts be damned.

Yeah, Pat… OK…

Unless you have been living in a cave the last two days, you know that Pat Robertson commented that Hugo Chavez of Venezuela should be assassinated. He is now trying to “clarify” his remarks with ludicrous statements like this

“I didn’t say ‘assassination,’” clarified Robertson during a broadcast of his “The 700 Club” Wednesday morning. “I said our special forces should go ‘take him out,’ and ‘take him out’ could be a number of things, including kidnapping.”

OK, Pat. Go take your medicine…

Howard Dean is a Dick

I just heard some audio clips of this ass-clown on the radio and felt the need to say that… Based on what I heard, the man wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him in the ass. I still can’t believe there are actually people who wanted him to be president.

♥ Government">Rock the Vote: We Government

If you want to get angry, head over to the Rock the Vote - I Love Social Security! website. What an amazing piece of propaganda! They are doing their best to convince young people that government is the source of all that is good in the world, and it is government that will “take care” of our every need. And they are registering people to vote. Personally I think that anyone who registers via Rock the Vote should actually be denied the chance to vote; clearly they are not capable of rational thought. According to Boorz, the political directory of Rock the Vote made this statement a few days ago:

To us, it’s totally black and white. This is the first generation ever that would be asked to pay for their own retirement and Social Security at the same time. This is what private accounts do. They saddle young people with an unfair burden.

What the hell is this moron thinking? Anyone who is not a loser is already paying for their own retirement while propping up Social Security at the same time! Anyone who is not a loser has an IRA or a 401(k). Anyone who understands that government is not there to provide for your retirement is already doing both. But the thought of allowing an individual to take money that is theirs and invest it as they see fit, instead of allowing the government to confiscate it, is anathema to the government-loving left. They will do everything in their power to keep you from keeping any more of your own money. The attacks on Social Security reform usually only come from the AARP, but now that real reform seems possible, all the leftists are ganging up to stop it. Rock the Vote is but the first.

You really should read some of the propaganda at the Rock the Vote site. They have an email address posted for you to “Tell us what Social Security means to you,” so I sent the following email. I somehow doubt that I will become part of their “I ♥ Social Security campaign.” Quoth I:

You guys are doing a great job of indoctrinating our young people into
depending on government to take care of their every need. I’m so glad
that you are lining up young people to march us straight into a
socialist state, with cradle-to-grave government-provided care! Your “I
Love Social Security” shirts and bumper stickers are inspired: when I
see someone wearing one, or sporting it on their car, I’ll know
instantly that is a person who has no clue about the way things are
supposed to be. I’ll know instantly that they are liberal myrmidons who
need government to organize their lives, and I’ll know to stay far from
them. And as a business-owner, I’ll know not to hire them.

Keep up the good work!

We’ll see if I get a response. I won’t hold my breath.

To a Democrat…

To a Democrat, there is no problem that can’t be solved by raising taxes. The latest example is a Florida Democrat legislator who wants to place a new tax on toilet paper. Read the story here.

Remind Me Again Why I Voted Republican…

Some days I really wonder why I did. I heard a little while ago that the Democrats are demanding a $2.15 increase in the minimum wage. Republicans, ever-vigilant against increasing government intrusion into the market, have countered with a $1.00 increase. Thanks, guys. Thanks a lot. What they should be fighting for is a repeal of minimum wage laws. Completely. Totally. Gone. The Federal Government (and the State, for that matter) has no business telling a private business what it can and can’t pay its employees. If someone is willing to work for $0.95/hour, then what business is it of the government? The answer is very simple: none.

Gutless Republicans, Take 97

The great Thomas Sowell is a guess on Rush’s show today, which is being hosted by the equally great Walter Williams. They were discussing whether or not Republicans in the Senate would use the so-called “nuclear option” to give a big can of “Shut the F@#K Up!” to those Democrats who are standing in the way of W’s judicial nominees. The consensus is that they will knuckle under, like they always do, and try to play nice with the Democrats. Sowell then came back with this excellent comment:

Oh, I forgot to mention that Republicans’ favorite exercise is “running for the hills.”

That describes Congressional Republicans to a “T.” They are so concerned about being called “meanies” that they won’t do what needs to be done. They keep trying to play nice with Democrats, which is impossible, because when a Congressional Democrat sees this, they known instinctively that it’s weakness, and then they go in for the kill. But Republicans just seem to never learn…

As for the “nuclear option,” which involves lowering the number of votes required to end a filibuster, I think what they need to do is actually force those worthless Democrats to actually filibuster! So far, the Dems have gotten away with merely threatening to filibuster, and that’s been enough for the Republicans to tuck their tails and run. It’s time for them to say “OK. You want to filibuster? You go right ahead” and let’s see a real filibuster. But they won’t do that either. Pansies.

Dr. Rice Confirmed: 85 - 13

If you don’t read Cox & Forkum’s editorial cartoons, you really should. They are almost always good.

The Lovely (Republican) Sara Evans

I’ve been a big fan of Sara Evans for several years now, but it’s so refreshing to see a performer who is not a whiny liberal. She performed yesterday at the Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball for President Bush, and isn’t afraid for people to know her party affiliation. Her husband is a Republican who ran for Congress in Oregon in 2002, though it doesn’t look like he won. I also adore Martina McBride who is a proud Republican, too.

Bush Sworn In, Again. Democrats Still Can’t Get Over It

It’s official. Again. And across this great land, Democrats are still clinging to the hope that a miracle will occur and John Kerry will emerge victorious…

Here are some more photos from today’s ceremonies.

Inauguration Moaning

Ann Coulter has a great column today about all those on the left pissing and moaning about the cost of W’s Inauguration. The same people whining now weren’t whining in 1993 during Clinton’s Inauguration Week while tragedy occurred elsewhere in the world.

John Kerry: Stateman — NOT!

In an act that, I’m sure, dirtbag Senator John Kerry thought would bring about “unity” in the country, he and Sen. Barbara Boxer voted “no” on the confirmation of Condoleeza Rice as Secretary of State. This is nothing more than John Kerry throwing a tantrum because he’s not the one filling the cabinet. Get over it John. You lost. Big time. It’s time to “move on.” Isn’t that what you Democrats are always telling us we need to do?

Truth About Marine Suicide

The media was full of stories a week ago about a Marine who supposedly “committed ’suicide by cop’ to avoid going back to Iraq.” Well, Michelle Malkin says the stories were just a wee bit wrong. Read her column about it and see if what you heard on the television matches up. And don’t hold your breath for the nightly news to inform you about this turn of events.

CBS: What Bias?

This is great:

Get US Out of the UN… NOW!!!

I’ve felt for a long time that we need to completely withdraw from that corrupt America-hating agency called the United Nations, but I’m even more convinced now. Two days ago, some assclown at the UN, one Jan Egeland, a crusty Norwegian, and Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, claimed that “rich” nations were being “stingy” in their giving to relief efforts for tsunami victims. This after we’d already sent 15 plane loads of supplies with more on the tarmac. This after we’d pledged $15 million to help out. He did “retract” his slur the next day, but it just points out once again that the only purpose the UN serves any more is to give those who hate the West, specifically America, a platform to spout off.

It’s time for us to leave. Actually, it’s been time for us to leave for a very long time. The UN does nothing for us. On the contrary they do nothing but bitch and moan about how terrible and “imperial” the US is, while feeding at the trough of our largesse. They allow evil dictators to skim billions of dollars from supposed humanitarian programs, while the son of the secretary general profits from it, as well as the French, Germans and Russians. They oppose just wars and do everything they can to bring America to its knees.

We need to officially withdraw from the UN. The city of New York needs to rescind the lease on the UN building, give all those worthless “diplomats” 30 days to get the hell out of my country, sell that building to a developer who will then turn it into luxury apartments, make a killing, and show that Capitalism kicks the crap out of any other system in the process.

Oh, and those worthless diplomats need to pay their thousands of dollars in parking tickets before they leave.

ScrappleFace Nails The Congress

If you don’t regularly read ScrappleFace.com for biting political satire, you’re missing out. Today’s edition nails our august Congress right between the eyes. The title is Hidden Clause Would Force Lawmakers to Read Legislation and it’s a keeper. If only we could actually get a law passed that said Congress-critters actually had to read the bills before voting on them, we’d be much better off. Boortz also suggested a rule: if a bill is too long to read in a single evening, it’s too long to vote on. I agree. The latest omnibus spending bill that just passed both houses with very little debate is well over 3,000 pages. There is no way anyone could or would read that.

What A Beautiful Picture…

Is this a gorgeous picture or what? (That’s a rhetorical question for you liberals reading this…)

Election 2004 - Wrap-Up

All right, now it’s time to gloat. John F’ing Kerry called the President around 11:00 today to “congratulate” him on kicking Kerry’s ass yesterday. He claimed he was going to publicly concede the election at 13:00, but for some reason that didn’t happen until around 14:00. I have no idea why, and I really don’t care. I didn’t bother listening because he has nothing to say. I did hear a few snippets of that ass-hat Edwards “conceding.” What a jack-ass. (Since Kerry has to conduct a poll to figure out what he should say on every issue, I wonder if he conducted a poll to see how he should concede…)

But none of that matters because it’s over. Bush won. Big time. He ate Kerry’s lunch. He cleaned his clock. And that’s not all. The Republican majority in the Senate is larger. Not as large as I’d like to see, but getting rid of Daschle is so absolutely delicious. He was the main obstructionist filibustering President Bush’s judicial nominees. Maybe now we’ll get some of those judges confirmed. We also retained control of the House. Nothing but goodness there.

Here in Georgia, we voted for W in spades. He won my state by 565,285 votes. We also gave full control of the State legislature to Republicans for the first time in history. We have two Republican US Senators for the first time ever. We have a Republican governor who may actually get some things through the legislature now that it’s under new management. The county that I live in is heavily Republican. During the campaign it was so nice to drive around and see W stickers and signs outnumbering Kerry signs 10 - 1.

Now, as for all this talk of “reconciliation” and W becoming a “uniter not a divider” I have but one thing to say: To Hell With That! W got a mandate yesterday. He got the largest popular vote total in the history of this great Republic. He got 7 million more votes than he got in 2000. Florida, where W won by only 500 votes in 2000, last night he won by 377,509. Overall W won by 3,560,164. That’s a mandate, folks. As for “reaching across the aisle” to Democrats, that’s been tried before. W has been sucker punched trying to “reach out” to Democrats like Ted Kennedy, and I think he’s learned his lesson. At least I hope he has. You can’t trust liberals; he should know that by now.

Actually, he has learned that lesson to a certain degree. A few months ago the NAACP invited him to speak to their membership. W declined. And that’s exactly what he should have done. Those people hate him, so no matter what he said to them, they would have trashed him. They were going to trash him anyway, so not attending just saved him time and effort. The same holds true with the liberals whom W is supposed to try to “unite” with. These people are rabid and vitriolic and will never even attempt to work with W, so why should he even try? The answer is he shouldn’t.

And speaking of liberals, don’t think for a moment that they are going to take this stunning defeat lying down. No, I am quite certain that the attack machines are already moving. That flying asshole Michael Moore has a warning on his website “We’re not going away” under a photo montage of W’s face composed of the US war dead in Iraq. Just what do you suppose that means? It means that he’s already planning on attacking the President. I’m sure the poorly-named MoveOn.org is mobilizing as well.

And someone may want to put Russell on suicide watch…
