I hate that some police officers were killed, but it makes me smile to know that two mullahs, affectionately referred to as “prayer leaders” in the article, were killed when a suicide vest they were making went off prematurely. I’ll bet scores of people were saved by these two asshats getting blown to bits. And if you keep reading, you’ll see that two other “millitants” were killed while trying to plant a mine.

According to this story, a short “anti-Koran” film has been taken offline due to death threats against the site hosting the film. On this Digg thread, there are lots of asinine comments about this story, and Islam in general, but also one gem. In response to the (probably facetious) question, “How could anyone feel threatened by someone who adheres to the religion of peace?”, one digger replied

“It’s the religion of peace and we will kill anyone who says it isn’t.”

That, friends, is becoming an axiom. Yes, I know there are billions of Muslims around the world who aren’t participating in violence. But there are increasing numbers who are threatening violence against anyone who says anything about their cult^H^H^H^H religion, and far too many willing to carry out those threats.

If you haven’t heard about this, you should have. A British teacher working in Sudan (why on Earth, I don’t know) has been imprisoned for allowing her students to name a teddy bear “Mohammed.” That’s right, she’s in jail for naming a stuffed bear Mohammed. But that’s not enough for our bloodthirsty “friends” the Muslims. No, lots and lots of them (apparently) want her dead for “insulting the prophet.”

I’ve had it with Muslims and their demands. I have had it with the PC phrase “Islam is a religion of peace.” It’s not. It’s a stone age death cult with its adherents doing everything they can to bring everyone in the world under its domination.

Here are some choice quotes from the article: (emphasis mine)

Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear “Muhammad.”

The protesters streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons, as pickup trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Gibbons, who was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in prison and deportation. She avoided the more serious punishment of 40 lashes.

They called for Gibbons’ execution, saying, “No tolerance: Execution,” and “Kill her, kill her by firing squad.”

I suppose, in fairness, I should say that it’s nice that they were willing to go with a firing squad instead of sawing her head off. That’s a nice touch.

A Muslim cleric at Khartoum’s main Martyrs Mosque denounced Gibbons during one sermon, saying she intentionally insulted Islam. He did not call for protests, however.

“Imprisoning this lady does not satisfy the thirst of Muslims in Sudan. But we welcome imprisonment and expulsion,” the cleric, Abdul-Jalil Nazeer al-Karouri, a well-known hard-liner, told worshippers.

Yep, that “thirst” for blood is a hard one to quench.

Based on further bits in the story, it does appear that the further away from that backwards area of the world you get, the response of Muslims is a bit more fair. But many of them still believe that she should be punished for “insulting the prophet;” they just feel that her sentence was too harsh. They still think she should still be punished for it.

Fred Thompson is going on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight to officially announce his candidacy for President. Tomorrow he will have some sort of 15 minute webcast about it, too. This editorial points out a few things. First, apparently Fred’s supporters are being dubbed “Fredheads.” OK, I guess I can live with that. But what’s really exciting is this

Thompson is absolutely pro-life, period, no waffling about it. He is solidly pro-Second Amendment, period, no dithering. He’s a gung-ho war on terror man, a no-nonsense border security man.

Those are four amazingly important issues facing the country, and Fred is solid on all four.

As an aside, I have to say that I don’t like the name “war on terror” since terrorism is a tactic, not an enemy. Our enemy is clearly defined: radical Islam. But, since the Bush administration has gone out of their way not to “offend” the ever-touchy Muslims in our midst, everyone is familiar with the term. Regardless, Fred is committed to prosecuting it, so that’s a good thing.

Don’t you just love a cult religion that will kill you if you decide to leave it?

According to Mr. Badry, Mr. Hegazy deserves the death sentence for leaving Islam. Souaad Kamel, the outgoing dean of Islamic Study for girls at Al-Azhar University, stated on the air that Mr. Hegazy should be beheaded to fulfill the religious requirements. [emphasis mine]

I have never seen a religion that tried to demand more of those who choose not to follow it than does Islam. Every time you turn around, Muslims are demanding more and more special treatment from those around them who have chosen not to follow their nutty (barbaric) religion. To wit: Imposing Islamic law.

The response by the British schools should be “Thanks, but no thanks.” Of course, in this time of political correctness and not wanting to offend Muslims (the most easily-offended people on Earth), a good many of those demands will probably be instituted. Or heads will roll.

Well, they’ve done it. The Republicans in Congress, in there never-ending quest to save us from ourselves, have passed a bill that seeks to stop all online gambling. Well, by “all” they mean “anything except lotteries.” At least the last version of the bill that I saw had that exclusion. According to that Bloomberg article, President Bush is expected to sign the bill.

These people make me sick. They need to be more concerned about NOT covering up the sexual liaisons of Rep. Foley, instead of trying to stop 900,000 Americans from enjoying poker online.

Oh yeah, those gutless wonders didn’t even have the balls to actually try to pass this bill on its own. So what did they do? They stuck it onto a PORTS SECURITY bill to ensure it would go through. They knew that the public did NOT want this bill passed, but they snuck it in anyway. Lousy Bastards.

But what am I gonna do? The Libertarians don’t stand a chance in hell of ever winning any major office and, besides, they wouldn’t bother to defend this country from explosive Islamic “peaceniks”, or the Mexican invasion, so those guys are out. As I said before, I can’t vote Democrat. I’m not so desperate to play online poker that I will sell my country out to the party of defeat. So I’m left either not voting, or continuing to live on the Republican Plantation and voting for “da massa.”

One thing I am going to do is join the Poker Players Alliance, who are doing everything they can to keep online poker in America. If you care about your freedom to game as you choose, you should join, too.

You know, this stuff just writes itself. Last week the Pope called out Islamic extremists for being, essentially, murderous barbarians. He was quoting a 14^th-century Byzantine Christian emperor who apparently knew more than we do. Anyway, they were not too happy with being labeled as murderous barbarians, so what do they do? They threaten to act like murderous barbarians, and then they start acting like murderous barbarians. That’ll show the world how peaceful the “Religion of Peace” is. The Pope has now issued an apology, the pansy. He shouldn’t have. And the representatives of Islam are doing nothing but proving his point.

Newt Gingrich has a list of eleven points that the Republicans should adopt in order to stay in power. He’s dead-on with this list. But the chances of the gutless wonders that pass themselves off as Republicans these day listening to him are two: slim and none.

The list is as follows. My comments are under the headings.

Make English the Official Language of Government

This is such a no-brainer, but Republicans are terrified of it. If you come to live in this country, you had better learn to speak English. This doesn’t mean you have to abandon your native tongue. It just means that we stop catering to people too lazy to learn English, or those who just refuse to do so.

Control the Borders

We are being invaded from Mexico. It’s long past time for it to stop.

Keep God in the Pledge

91% of Americans support it.

Require a Voter ID Card

I’m a little uncomfortable with this one, but something has to be done to stop dead people and illegal Mexicans from voting in our elections. I don’t like the idea of “Papers, please,” but we need to at least decide that something has to change.

Repeal the Death Tax, for Good

It’s absolutely obscene the way the government rapes you once you’re dead.

Restore Property Rights

The Kelo decision from the Supreme Court is a travesty. Without property rights, there is no liberty.

Achieve Sustainable Energy Independence

We need to lessen our dependence on the Middle East for our fuel. I completely support ramping up (rapidly) our nuclear capabilities, but some of his other points, I’m not so sure about.

Control Spending and Balance the Budget

When the Republican’s won the House in 1994, they preached controlling spending. But after a few years in power, they started spending like drunken sailors. I have no doubt that if Democrats had remained in power all this time that we’d be worse off than we are, but claiming “Hey, we’re not as bad as we could be” is not a valid defense.

Tie Education Funding to Teacher Accountability

I don’t use the public school systems because they are not much more than liberal indoctrination centers. However, they need to change for those people who have to use them. Holding teachers accountable for student performance is a reasonable thing to do.

Defend America From the Irreconcilable Wing of Islam

Stop referring to the so-called “War on Terror.” It’s not a war on “terror.” Terror is a concept or a strategy. Our enemy is radical, militant Islam. Practitioners of the great “Religion of Peace” are our enemy. Not all of them, but many. And given the silence from so many quarters of Islam, they may not support what the jihadists are doing, but they don’t altogether oppose it, either.

Focus on Iran and North Korea

The weird-beard in Iran and the little troll in North Korea are going to become more of a problem the longer they are allowed to continue to try to become nuclear. No matter what either of them says, their uranium enrichment is not for “energy purposes.” They are working on weapons and we can’t afford to let them have them. North Korea claims to already have a nuclear weapon, though (to my knowledge) this hasn’t been confirmed.

That’s the list. If every Republican in the House would adopt these principles and campaign on them, things would be heading in the right direction. But they won’t.

Do you think if I went up to New Fallujah and slaughtered a bunch of Muslims sitting around a coffee shop (or wherever those people go for fun) I would be praised as a hero? That’s a rhetorical question. The answer, of course is “no.” Because, except to a few “kill ‘em all, let God sort ‘em out” type wackos, this sort of thing is anathema to us, with “us” defined as “those in the civilized non-Stone-age world.” But praising suicide bombers seems to be the favorite pastime in the Muslim world.

More evidence that practitioners of the so-called “religion of peace” are twisted, sadistic barbarians.

Malaysia’s de facto law minister has threatened to jail or fine non-Muslims who insult Islam, amid concern over recent articles perceived as attacking the religion.

Mohamad Nazri Abdul Aziz said the country’s sedition act could be used on non-Muslims who make comments construed as belittling Islam.

“We will not think twice about using this law against anybody who incites,” Mohamad Nazri, a minister in the prime minister’s department, was quoted as saying in the Star newspaper today.

The minister said he was concerned over recent articles written about Islam by non-Muslims, and warned there was a limit to what could be said in the Muslim-majority country.

From this Kuwait News Agency Story, comes this little gem

Abu Qatada, described as al-Qaeda’s spiritual ambassador in Europe, is believed to be among the ten held today, the British media said.

Don’t you just love the fact that worthless Muslim terrorists have a “spiritual ambassador?” Isn’t that sweet? I guess he gets to tell them that Allah loves it when a guy detonates a bomb and takes out as many innocent children as possible. The bloodier, the better, baby!

The British are finally getting tough on Islamic terrorism. They have recognized what lots of other people have recognized for some time now: the major threat to civilization is Islamic terrorism. While the British have had lots of trouble with the IRA, the Muslim threat is much worse. And they are doing things about it. The article linked above is about the first round of deportations of people who are considered supporters of the “cause” of Islamic bombers. These “people” may not be carrying out the attacks, but they are supporting them in other ways. They need to get rid of all of those weird beards that congregate at the big mosque in downtown London. That would solve quite a few of their problems.

I just have to say “Good on ‘em!” The Brits are doing what we should be doing. We also should be guarding our borders and profiling, but all the whiny liberals in this country won’t let us…

It’s happened again. Representatives of the “Religion of Peace” have brutally murdered another innocent man. I’m becoming more and more convinced every day that Islam is a false religion. “But it’s only the fringe that is doing this!” you say. It may be true that “the fringe” are the ones carrying out these atrocities, but the “mainstream” Muslim world sits idly by, tacitly accepting what is being done in their name. They are, therefore, complicit. It took three years for any Muslim organization to “apologize” for 9/11, meanwhile there are murals in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and other Muslim dominated countries heralding the attacks. The leading Imam in the UK held a rally on 9/11/2004 commemorating the attacks.

The Muslim world needs to step up and decry these atrocities that are being done under the guise of “Allah.” If they don’t, they are giving aid and comfort to those who would murder innocents to further their goals.

Here is an excellent article from US News & World Report about our Islamist enemy. You should read it. So should the supposedly peace-loving members of the “religion of Peace” and decide to condemn those who have “hijacked” their religion once and for all.

Ann Coulter’s latest column is essentially a review of David Limbaugh’s book Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianity but it has a few zingers in it. In discussing a California law mandating a “crash course” in Islam for all seventh-graders, she had this to say

Students are required to adopt Muslim names, plan a trip to Mecca, play a jihad game, pray to “Allah, the Compassionate” and to chant “Praise to Allah! Lord of Creation!” They are encouraged to dress in Muslim garb. Students are discouraged, however, from stoning girls at the school dances, abusing their “Jew” math teachers or blowing up their classmates.

Can you believe that? The government mandates a course on Islam, but a child bringing a Bible to school is reprimanded. I am definitely going to by this book. If you care at all about the all out war against Christianity that government schools are waging, you should too.

It’s been two years now since 19 Islamic terrorists killed over 3,000 innocent people. Never forget what happened. Never forget that it was radical Islamic terrorists that did it, and that there are still lots of radical Islamic terrorists out there who want to kill as many Americans as possible. Yes, these practitioners of the vaunted “religion of Peace™” want to destroy us and our way of life. We can’t let that happen. President Bush is taking the fight to them instead of waiting idly by for them to attack us again on our own soil. That’s how it should be. Contrary to what the DemocRATs would have you believe, we are more safe and secure today than we were two years and a day ago. We are winning this war. We will be victorious.

It seems that the illustrious U.N. Secretary General, Kofi Annan, has his boxers in a bunch over the bombing of the U.N. HQ in Iraq last week. While the loss of life there was tragic, Kofi’s statements today show once again what a joke the U.N. has become. The laughable “Security Council” today passed a resolution that is supposedly going to make things safer for U.N. folks and other “humanitarian aid” workers. That’s fine. Make them safer. But Kofi had this to say about the resolution:

[T]he resolution sent a message to those who believed they could advance their cause by targeting aid workers.

Sure it did, Kofi. As if the people who are willing to strap explosives onto themselves and walk into a crowd are going to be scared of the posturing of a poor excuse for a bureaucrat. I don’t know that anything scares them. That’s why the only course of action is to take the fight to them and wipe them out.

Hey Kofi! Why don’t you speak out about the terrorists working inside Iraq taking out Americans? Or the other Islamic terrorists like Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah, that have such a proclivity for blowing up women and children? Where’s your righteous indignation over the latest bus bombings in Israel, eh? Ass.

Here’s still more evidence that Islam is not a “religion of peace” as some would have us believe. In Sudan a group of Islamic military forces attacked a village and slaughtered the residents. The even burned a Christian pastor and his family alive.
