About
Hi, I’m Joey Gibson.
I’m a software developer working in several languages, including Java, Python, Ruby, Kotlin, Rust, Smalltalk, Common Lisp, and bash. And sometimes Go, if I have to. Thirty-something years ago, I worked in COBOL.
Lately, I’ve been working heavily with AI tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Github Copilot.
I’m also a musician. I play bass, guitar, Irish tenor banjo, Irish bouzouki, tin whistle, and octave mandolin. Most recently, I’ve taken up the nyckelharpa.
This blog has been running in one form or another since 2002, starting on Blogger.com, then self-hosted Blosxom, moving to self-hosted WordPress, then WordPress.com, and now GitHub Pages.
I’m not looking for a job right now, but if you’re interested, here’s my resume.
