My Visit To Dinosaur Valley State Park
I’m in Texas right now, Midlothian, specifically. Looking around for something interesting, I stumbled upon Dinosaur Valley State Park, in nearby Glen Rose, TX. This park has 20-something miles of trails, and 100-million year-old dinosaur tracks embedded in the limestone of the Paluxy River.
There are two main areas where the tracks are. The first one you come to is called “The Balroom”, where there are hundreds of tracks, going in all different directions, “like the dinosaurs were dancing”. This area is, apparently, best viewed in late summer, because when I arrived, the riverbed was under 20’ of water. ☹️
The second area is just called the “Main Track Site”, and here, I did get to see tracks. Several, actually. Here are some photos of the tracks.

I met a very nice older couple as I was heading down to the “Main Track Site”. He was telling me how they had met there years ago, and came back frequently. He talked a little about the tracks, and then said, “They discovered human tracks right there with the dinosaur tracks. But that didn’t fit the narrative, so now they say that a dinosaur ‘slipped’.” I was preparing myself for his next words, because I just knew where this was going. “Yeah, they were big… you know… the bible says there were giants roaming the world back them. Gives you something to think about.” I replied with, “Mm.” He then said, “The Creation Museum down the road has a bunch of stuff.” I replied, “I’m sure it does.” We then parted ways. 🤣 I almost stopped at the Creation Evidence Museum, just for a laugh, but ultimately decided against it.
